The BOT Function works as follows:

1. The Sandwich Attack Bot identifies a significant trade that is about to be carried out over the DeFi protocol.
2. A buy order is placed by the Sandwich Attack Bot but at a slightly higher price than the victim’s deal.
3. Execution of the victim’s trade raises the asset’s price.
4. Later, the Sandwich Attack Bot sells its own purchase order and makes money from the price rise.
5. After then, the perpetrator of Sandwich Attack Bot places a sell order for the same asset as the victim’s trade, but at a slightly lower price.
6. The victim’s trade is carried out, which lowers the asset’s price.
7. The Bot then makes money from the price drop by returning its sell order.
